Do you hire for summer/seasonal jobs?
No, we do not hire seasonally unless you have worked with us previously.
Do you require previous coffee/food service experience?
We do not require previous experience but it is always a plus. What is most important to us is that you are a kind, hard-working person who is willing and able to learn. We are willing to train high-quality people who plan to work with us for a reasonable timeframe.
How do your shifts work on a daily basis?
The shop is open daily from 8AM-6PM. Every day we have a morning shift from 7:30AM-1PM and an afternoon shift from 1-6:30PM. On busier days we have a middle swing shift that typically runs from 10AM-3:30PM.
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Back of House/Kitchen Staff
Job Description:
The primary role of our back-of-house/kitchen staff members is to make, top, and serve our fresh doughnuts to customers. They are also responsible for making various fresh teas, lemonades, syrups and glazes and communicating with front-of-house and management to ensure that house-made ingredients are stocked properly. Finally, they are required to maintain a cleanly, sanitary workspace and to stay on top of various cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
Strong communication and cleaning skills
Previous food-service experience not required, but always a plus
Willingness to work through the summer and into the fall at a minimum
Current Role Details:
Weekend availability required
Part Time: 15-20 hours per week
Front of House/Barista
Job Description:
Our front-of-house/barista staff members are responsible for serving beverages and baked goods to customers in the front of our shop. They greet customers with a friendly face and help them understand our menu should any questions arise. They are also responsible for communicating with back-of-house frequently and ensuring that the common areas of the coffee shop are kept clean and tidy throughout the day.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
Friendly attitude and ability to answer questions/converse with patrons
Strong communication and cleaning skills
Previous coffee/service experience not required, but encouraged strongly
Willingness to work through the summer and into the fall at a minimum
